This bandana was created in honor of our dog, Indie — our first baby, our little shadow, and the original bad boy.
Indie has never been one to follow the rules. He picks and chooses which dogs he likes, does things entirely on his own terms, and carries more attitude than most humans. We’ve always joked that he’s not a “good boy” — he’s a bad boy. He prefers to be tucked away in his own little world — but the love he gives is deep, loyal, and uniquely his.
Since his cancer diagnosis, he’s had some tough moments — days that scared us, moments when we weren’t sure what was coming next. But he continues to surprise us with his strength, his sass, and his spirit. We recently took him camping — a trip we quietly wondered might be our last big adventure together. And somehow, in the middle of the mountains, Indie came alive again. Playful. Puppylike. Running through the woods like nothing had changed. Watching him in his element reminded us that even now, life still holds so much joy.
This bandana is a tribute to that spirit. To Indie’s defiance, his stubbornness, his humor. To the way he’s taught us patience. To the reminder that all of us — dogs and humans alike — are just trying our best in this one, wild, first time at life. And that love, especially the kind we give to our animals, should be as big and boundless as we can possibly make it.
